She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Shaw and Elizabeth Hale Shaw; and her husband Milton Gene Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Smith Lewis (Stan) and Michelle Smith Skipper (Timmy); her grandson Christopher Skipper; and her brothers, Edward Shaw (Patsy) and Larry Shaw.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hawkins Chapel Methodist Church (6955 NC-48, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
