It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Ray Nethery of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Nethery and Ethel Nethery; his brother Richard Nethery; and his son-in-law Michael Ogburn. He is survived by: his wife Amanda Nethery; his children, Sandy Ogburn, Bobby Nethery (Laura), Crystal Mantalvanos (Aris) and Dorsey Nethery (Becky); his grandchildren, Mike, Troy Ogburn, Scott Stokes (Katy), Barbie Love (Brad), Mindy Liles (Jeremy), Dylan Stokes (Ashley), Kaleigh Stokes, Corey Nethery, Jamie Nethery and Tonya Manning; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Dillon, Mason, Trinity, Ryleigh, Karson, Isaiah, Henry, Katie and Oakley; his sister-in-law Nina Nethery; and his nephew Steve Nethery.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (595 Zoo Rd N, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or any hospice care.
