He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Godsey and Madie Conner Godsey; his wife Ada Matthews Godsey; and his daughter Betty Jean Tucker. He is survived by: his children, Robert Wilson Godsey, Ronnie Neal Godsey, Annette Everette and Loretta Ash; and his brother Frank Lewis Godsey. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Askew Funeral & Cremation Services (731 Roanoke Ave, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
