She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Jones Merritt and William Sam Merritt; and her brother Donald Merritt. She is survived by: her husband Horace Mack Hudson, Jr.; her son Roger Jenkins, Jr.; her brothers, David Merreitt (Jean) of Wake Forest and James Russell Merrit (Debbie) of Pinetops; her sister-in-law Vicki Merritt; and her grandchildren, Jordan Clay, Dylan Clay and Ayden Jenkins.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chockoyotte Baptist Church (153 Wheeler St, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
