She is survived by: her spouse Marion Francis Tompkins, Jr.; her son Timothy Gardner Tompkins; her daughter-in-law Shonna of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Anna Tompkins Urban (Stephen) of Raleigh and Jesse Gardner Tompkins (Macy) of Georgetown.
