She was predeceased by: her husband Jack W. Thomason; her parents, Swep Coggin and Florine Coggin; and her brothers, Charles Coggin, Oscar Coggin, Roland Coggin and Billy Coggin.
She is survived by: her children, Denny Melton, Charles "Al" Thomason (Marie), Glenn Thomason (Donna), Allen "Bud" Thomason, Lisa Hester (Ray) and Dawn Thomason. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
