He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Coons Haskins; his parents, Ovid Haskins and Lila Haskins; and his siblings, William "Bill" Haskins, Donald Ray Haskins, Al Haskins, Sally Davis and Rochella Hux.
He is survived by: his daughters, Yvonne Doughtie (Emery), Lisa Oliver (Butch) and Teresa Hux; his sisters, Brenda Warren (Howard) and Connie Spense; and his grandchildren, Lauren Doughtie, Sara Long (Ramah), Tommy Oliver (Miranda), Alyson Cooke, Ashlee Hux (Danny), Taylor Joyner, Noah, Harper Long, Bradley Long, Rylen Barbrey, Kieran Barbrey, Penelope Holcomb, Ramona Brabham, Daphne Brabham, Aela Joyner and Sam Joyner.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870).
