She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Freeman, and Robert Harold Freeman, Sr.; her son Earl Barnard Sanders, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Lynn Johnston, Jordan Tyler Nichols, Jesscia Sanders, Christopher Sanders and Justin Sanders (Warren Pfeil); and her husband James Conwell.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Anne Bellflower (Jeremy) of Roanoke Rapids, Angela Pittsonbarger (Joey Anderson) of Harrisonburg, VA, Robert "Robbie" Earl Sanders (Kim) of Roanoke Rapids and Eddie Lee Sanders of Roanoke Rapids; and her brothers, Harold Freeman of Poquoson, VA, William Freeman of Poquoson, VA and Gene Freeman of Poquoson, VA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service (507 US-158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
