He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Arthur, Irene Mason of Seneca, S. C., Homer and Doris Rose of Roanoke Rapids, N. C.. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Stewart Bradshaw Mason; his children, Saraholden McCall, Phillip Douglas Browning, McAllister Grey, Collier Rose McKethan and Patterson Douglas Bronwen; his parents, Douglas Mason and Brenda Rose Mason of Roanoke Rapids; his brother Marcus Shaw (Christina) of Sims, N. C.; his nieces and nephews, Renee Shaw Maull (Cody), Connor Shaw (Cynthia), Ty Philpott (Jenny) and Rayne Philpott; his great-nephews, Easton, Rowan and Oliver; and his brother Jimmy Shaw III. He is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Quankie Baptist Church (4070 NC-48, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, and educational trust for his five children has been established.
