It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Adolphus Ellis of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie L. Ellis, Sr. and Doma Clary Ellis; his wife Pat; his son Steve; his brothers, Bill and Joe; and his wife Mary Bray.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Kessinger (Bill) of Littleton, NC; his grandchildren, Kayla Kessinger of Greenville, SC, Matthew Kessinger (Cassi) of Wilmington, NC and Megan Kessinger (Kevin) of Cary, NC; and his caregiver Gloria Taylor of Garysburg, NC..
