Barbara left this world on October 5, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny William and Edna Cabe Bowen; her husband James Stewart Laws; and her siblings, Doug Bowen and Vergia Nixon.
She is survived by: her children, Tanya Denise Harmon-Harrold (Robert Norman) and David Anthony Bowen of Mt. Holly; her grandchildren, Jessica Marie Harmon, Brandon Lee Harrold and Austin James Bowen; her great grandchildren, Holden and Ayla; her sister Nancy Gentry (Buddy) of Mtn; and her niece Melissa Gentry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church-Elkin (1522 Austin Traphill Rd, Elkin, NC 28621). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery-Elkin (1522 Austin Traphill Rd, Elkin, NC 28621).
