She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Betty Smith. She is survived by: her husband Ernest; her children, Janet Dyson (Shane) of Mocksville and Steven Russell (Rebecca) of Roaring River; her grandchildren, Katie Dyson, Corey Dyson, Charles Russell and Meredith Russell; and her siblings, Harold Smith (Janine) of Boise, Idaho, Nancy Keller of Arizona, Thomas Smith (JoAnn) of Taylorsville and William Smith of Salisbury. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Reins - Sturdivant Chapel.
