He was predeceased by: his parents, Essie Garner Britt and Andrew "Dewey" Britt. He is survived by: his wife Edwina; and his sons, Andy (Helen) and David (Donna). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Smyrna Church Cemetery Fund, 203 Smyrna Church, Robbins, NC 27325.
