He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Garner and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ritter Garner; his great grandchild Calvin; his siblings, Ava Shieffield, John Garner and Claude Garner; and his son-in-law Dr. Phillip Scotton.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; and his children, Tony Garner, Judy Scotton, Marilyn Stout (Royce) and Joanne Pate (Jimmy). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren: many nieces, nephews and friends.
