She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Wilma Kidd Smith; her husband Walter "Jabo" Hussey; her son Tommy Edward Hussey; and her siblings, Betty Ann Murray, Julia Frances Maness, Clarence Lee Smith (Bill), Jimmy Joe Smith and Ronnie Evans Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Hinson (Al); her daughter-in-law Donna Hussey; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Hussey (Heather), Johnny "Boomer" Hussey, Daniel Phillips (Erika), Mark Phillips (Brittany) and Jessica Davis (Steven); and her siblings, Mary Ruth Powers, Carol Lucille Hicks and Johnny Albert Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Joyce-Brady Chapel (3833 Chatham St, Bennett, NC 27208). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Needham's Grove Baptist Church (359 Needham Grove Rd, Seagrove, NC 27341).
