He was predeceased by: his father Henry Ford Cheek; his siblings, Sharon Cheek, Henrietta Fuller and James Cheek; his sister-in-law Jackie Cheek; and his father-in-law Vernon Purvis.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Murelene Hartzog Cheek; his wife Linda Purvis Cheek of Robbins; his children, Amy Vuncannon (Jimmy) of Star, NC, Monica Agema (Justin) of Irmo, SC and Jason Cheek (Tina) of Madison Heights, VA; his siblings, Sandra Patrick (Wayne) of Fleetwood, NC and Ronnie Cheek of Fleetwood, NC; his grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob Vuncannon, Emma, Molly Cheek and Rosalynn Agema; and his mother-in-law Betty Lou Purvis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home (241 N Middleton St, Robbins, NC 27325). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church (1535 N Moore Rd, Robbins, NC 27325).
