He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vernon and Betty Sue Brewer Garner; his sister Debra Garner; and his granddaughter Hannah Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Garner; his children, Jason Garner (Krystal), Ronnie Davis (Debra), Angie Ussery (Rocky), Robert Gordon (Alison), Melissa McDaniel (Jeremy) and Matthew Gordon; and his brothers, Ronnie Garner (Jennifer) and Alvin Garner (Jenny). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home (241 N Middleton St, Robbins, NC 27325). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Smyrna Church Cemetery (203 Smyrna Church Rd, Robbins, NC 27325).
