He was predeceased by: his parents, Quimby Lewis and Annie Savannah Barber Wallace; his wife Doris; his son Rufus Lewis Wallace II; and his siblings, Muriel Troxler, Pauline Marley, Paul Wallace and Lester Wallace.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Wallace and Janet Ritter (Roger); his grandchildren, Jana Hurdt (Scott) and Taylor Ritter; and his great grandchildren, Darcy and Judd.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home (241 N Middleton St, Robbins, NC 27325). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Flint Hill Baptist Church (923 Flint Hill Church Rd, Robbins, NC 27325).
