We bid farewell to James Everett Brown of Robbinsville, North Carolina, born in Heflin, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 9, 2025 at the age of 90. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Brown and Ruby Brown; and his siblings, Russell Brown, Arvid Brown, Gerald Brown, Nancy Skinner and Jean Yates.
He is survived by: his significant other Ruth Austin Brown; his grandchildren, Taylor Carringer (Mandi), Tucker Carringer (Shannon), Carson Foster, Carrie Foster, Brylee Trull (Hunter) and Baylee Parham; his great grandchildren, Clara Ruth Carringer, Joel Everett Carringer, Luca Jarrett Carringer and Willa May Carringer; his friend Karen Maynard; and his caregivers, Donna George, Cyndi Postell, Pam Bowers, Brenda Burchfield, Sydney Hart, Pam Knott, Rita Eller and Dana Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Townson-Smith Chapel (160 5 Point Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the donations be made in Scooter's memory to: Graham County Senior Center, 12 North Main Street, Robbinsville, NC 28771.
