She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Lacy Thomas Bowles and Martha Hammond Bowles; her husband Joe; her children, Joseph Gomer Davis, III (Michelle) of Rockingham, NC and Jennifer Davis Richardson of Charlotte, NC; and her grandchildren, Drew Davis, Jed Davis, Ben Richardson and Alex Richardson. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
