He was predeceased by : his parents, Emory D. "E. D." Freeman and Ruth Harrelson Freeman; his son Billy Michael Freeman, Jr. (Gwen); and his siblings, Edward Freeman, Linda Ray Culler and Mary Kay Faulk.

He is survived by : his wife Vivian Rainwater Freeman; his daughters, Vicky Craig (Richard) and Sharon Taylor (Chris); his grandchildren, Justin Freeman, Maegan Freeman, Mallory Freeman, Shelby Freeman, Stoney Taylor, Daniel Craig and Bryson Taylor; his great grandchild Leilani Knollenburg; his sister Shirley Grooms; and his pet Mojo.
