He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Leonard Mabe and Clarice Vera Bennett Mabe; and his brothers, Clyde, Wilbert, Jimmy and L. T. Mabe.
He is survived by: his son Don McCoy Mabe, Jr.; his siblings, John Mabe, Dorthy Willard, Doris Greene and Linda Wilson; his son Richard Mabe; and his sister Lois Mabe Thompson Hayes.
