He was predeceased by: his father James Graves, Sr.; and his siblings, Nell Jean Slade and Harold Lee Graves. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Motley Graves; his children, Keisha Graves (Gerald), Somekia Miller, Tasha Graves (Erich) and Donald Graves, Jr. (Vette); his grandchildren, Zhakel, Saniya, Paris, Kemiya, JaiVeon and Freddie, Jr.; his mother Daisy Bell Stokes Graves; his siblings, Peggy Ann Graves, Irene Courts, Alfred Earl Graves, James Edward Graves, Jr., Levon Graves (Betty) and Ronald Graves (Judy); his close friends, Wilbert Neal and Theotis Badgett; and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Alexander (Joe) and Lemoore Beveridge. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
