We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 90, Donnie Ray Swails (Rockingham, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Cecil Swails and Elma Mae Anderson Swails; his wife Imogene Swails; his children, June Swails Cox and Gary Swails; his stepdaughter Sonya Scott; and his siblings, Cecil Swails, Roy Swails, Faye Webb Boger and Retha Ratliff.
He is survived by: his siblings, William "Bill" Swails (Johnnie), Horace Swails, Jerry Swails (Janice) and Ruth Black (William); his son Ronnie Swails (Kathy); and his stepdaughters, Kathy Ragan (Eugene) and Sylvia Hinshaw (James). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (705 S Caroline St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
