With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dwight Randolph Warren Jr. of Rockingham, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Randolph Warren, Sr. (Randy) and Lydia Rodwell Warren (Virginia); and his brother Peter Rodwell Warren (Pete). He is survived by: his wife Christian Byrum Warren (Christy) of Charlotte, NC.; his daughter Cynthia Warren; his son-in-law Christopher Sorrell of Angier, NC; his granddaughters, Valarie, Gracie and Samantha Sorrell; his brother Richard Bruce (Ricky); his niece Amber (Donnie) Marcum; and his uncle David Lee Warren of Rockingham, NC. He is also survived by great nieces/nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Rockingham (201 N Randolph St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockingham Rotary Club (PO Box 1262 Rockingham, NC 23830) , Richmond County Hospice, (1119 US Hwy #1 N Rockingham, NC 28379), First Baptist Church of Rockingham (201 N. Randolph St. Rockingham, NC 28379), or a local charity of your choice.
