He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hughes and Bertie Mae Collins Cagle; and his siblings, Gladys, Shirley and James.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Elaine Cagle; his son Eddie L. Cagle Jr. (Jamie); his grandchildren, Luke Cagle and Natalie Cagle; his siblings, Barbara Brigman (Tommy) and Burney Cagle; and his close friend Wayne Cummings (Sue). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
