In the vast expanse of eternity, Evelyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Evelyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Chandler Moss; and her daughter Camille Moss Ballard. She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Carolyn Moss Crouse and Elizabeth Ann Moss; and her grandchildren, Christina Elizabeth Moss (Peter Katos), Dr. David Samuel Crouse, Hannah Wallace Crouse (James Branley, Jr.) and John Irvin Ballard III. She is also survived by mother, and grandmother, pouring her heart into her family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Carter Funeral Homes- Rockingham (705 S Caroline St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the Eastside Cemetery (1468 Fayetteville Rd, Rockingham, NC 28379).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed toward the establishment of The Evelyn Wallace Moss Fund for Hospital Youth Volunteers at Richmond Memorial Hospital.
