He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Mary Jane Haigler; his son James "Jimmy" Haigler; his former wife Margaret Allen Haigler; and his wife Ina Harding Haigler.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Miranda Haigler Roberts (Andy) of Raeford; his daughter-in-law Ginger Haigler McLain of Rockingham; his sister Betty Haigler Adams; his stepchildren, Donna Campbell (Larry) of Fuquay Varina, Jim Harding (Alicia) of Rockingham, Jerry Harding (Heather) of Calabash and Bob Harding (Christie) of Angier; and his friend Jose Garcia. He is also survived by eighteen step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
