He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter West and Virginia "Bill" Hogan West; his sister Shirley Williams; and his niece Tracie Driggers. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Gazoo West; his sister Joyce Melton (Robert) of Ellerbe; his children, Marcus West (Krista) of Ellerbe, Brenda Ladner, Pat Hatcher of Rockingham and Kristie Stewart; and his pet Bandit. He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 1 niece, 3 great nephews, 2 great-great nephews.
