She was predeceased by: her husband Preston Simmons; her daughter Heather Elaine Simmons; her parents, Ruth Thacker Walker and William Sidney Walker; and her sister Mary Ann Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly (Scott Michaux) and David (Sara Wirtz); her grandchildren, Zhenia Michaux, Broc Michaux, Ethan Simmons and Audrey Simmons; her great grandchild Alexey Michaux; her brother Nat Walker (Linda); and her nephews, Tommy Walker and Jonathan Walker.
