He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil H. Covington and Vinnie B. Covington; his brother Edwin; and his wife Rosa Jean Fields. He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Black (Gerald) and Jamie Dunn (Joel); and his grandchildren, Joey, Elizabeth and Thomas Dunn.
