He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Mae Courts Broadnax and Granville Broadnax; his former life partner Betty Scales Broadnax; and his sister Betty Broadnax Henderson. He is survived by : his wife Gari Ann Hampton Broadnax; his children, Debra Broadnax Price (De), Patricia Broadnax Riddle, Cynthia Diane Reese, Tina Broadnax, Sandra Hampton, Joanne Jackson, Jane Hampton, Steven James Hampton, Jeff Hampton and Joey Hampton; his siblings, Judy Gordon (Teddy), Patricia Nunley, Sandra Jones (Larry), Carolyn Broadnax, John Thomas Broadnax, Robert Broadnax and Larry Darnell Broadnax; his grandchildren, Corey Broadnax (Melissa), Courtney Young (Alfred), Andrea Riddle, Tyrone Turner, Marcus Turner, Faith Price, Chantil Burke, Christopher Price and Aaliyah Price; his great grandchildren, Breyona Kirkland, Ariel Bruson, Kyrie Young, Bella Turner and Morgan Bagley; his siblings-in-law, Frances Brown, Hazel Dillard, William Michael Scales and Howard Henderson; and his close friends, Hank Petty and Virginia Scales. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
