He is survived by: his sons, Roger Wayne Messer (Tammy) and Jeffrey Scott Messer (Maria); and his grandchildren, Kyle Messer, Bradley Messer, Cailin Messer, Grace Messer and Mya Messer. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (2063 Grassy Island Rd Int L&R, Ellerbe, NC 28338). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Cardinal Hospice or Bethel Baptist Church.
