It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Raymelle Wright of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Holly G. Dick and Corrina Soloman Dick; her husband Alton Wright; her siblings, Bill Dick, Lawrence Dick, Juanita Coble and O. W. Rorie; and her children, Patricia Wright, Denise Wright, Holly Wright and Rovetta Ratliff.

She is survived by : her children, Alton Thomas Wright, Jr. (Darlene), David Randolph Wright (Beth), Donna Yvonne Franklin (Odell) and Barbara Annette Chavis (Jerry); her children-in-law, Kenneth Ratliff and Susan Wright; and her caregiver Megan Hope. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson-King Funeral Home (155 Patterson St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Cobb Memorial Baptist Church (108 6th St, Rockingham, NC 28379).
