He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Hooper Blackwell and Roy Oscar Blackwell; his grandson Antonio "AJ" Harden; and his brother Howard Dennis Blackwell. He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Lewis Blackwell, Sr., Patricia Henderson, LeVon Ulvano, Bruce Blackwell and Alphonzo Mills; his children, Leroy "Lee Lee" Blackwell, Jr. (Donna), Gregory Blackwell (Terri), Nettie Blackwell, Lecretia "Wookie" Mc Collum-Truesdale (Dwight) and Thaddeus "Fatts" Broadnax (Star); his siblings, Sandra Glynnis Graves, Gloria Johnson, Mary Ann Henderson (Butch), Brenda Richards, Doris Ann Brown (James), Edward Blackwell (Rose), Gary Blackwell, Larry Blackwell (Wanda), Ricky Blackwell, Kenneth Blackwell (Ronda), Leon Mills and Daryl Willis; his sisters-in-law, Glinda Blackwell, Sharon Blackwell and Gloria "Buckie" Wimbush Blackwell; and his close friends, Gene Galloway and Chino Woodson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
