She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clinton and Emma Dinah Bryant Gathings; her husband James E. "Jim" Hinson; and her siblings, Bob, Buddy, Vera, Annie Ruth, Mary and Frances.
She is survived by: her children, Richard L. "Rick" Hinson (Dianne) and Karen H. Stogner (Larry); her grandchildren, Chad Hinson, Jill Hinson, Jeremy Hollingsworth (Elisha), Ian Hollingsworth (Shelby), Emma Stogner and Meredith Stogner; her great grandchildren, Alex Brown, Matthew Brown, Addyson Hollingsworth, Cameron Hinson, Caroline Hinson, Holden Hollingsworth and Afton Hollingsworth; her siblings, Peggy Butts and Ralph Gathings; and her caregivers, Ivory Pore, Sarah Brigman, Joanne Wilson, Mia Dixon, Alberta Bivens and Kim Blake.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the East Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy (139 Flowers St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
