It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Julina Godbold LeVander (Rockingham, North Carolina), who passed away on September 3, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Marion Boyd Godbold and Martha Julina Pearson Godbold; her stepmother Cora T. Godbold; her husband George M. LeVander, Jr.; and her sister Bettie Louise Godbold Adams.
She is survived by : her daughter Martha; her son-in-law Tony Anderson of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Leanne, Patrick Jurczyk of Rockingham, Matthew and Sarah Anderson of Anderson, SC; her great grandchildren, Michael, Kason Jurczyk and Jackson Anderson; her brother Pat Godbold of Cheraw, SC; her friends, Hazel King of McColl, SC and Patricia Huff of Hartsville, SC.; and her caregivers, Angel Cobbler, Barbara Cook and Alberta Bivens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was also active in the Southern Pines NARFE chapter, serving as their Alzheimer's fundraising chairperson for several years.
