Peggy Airington Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Airington of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Willard and Audrey Moss Grooms; her son George Earl Dawkins Jr.; her siblings, Jesse Willard Grooms Jr. (Buck), William Grooms, Myrtha Grooms Witchard and Kim Grooms Campbell; and her son-in-law Johnny Moore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Moore, Diane Radford (Robbie) and Tracie Harris; her grandchildren, John Michael Moore (Sarah), Jessica Blair (Dave), Erica Campbell (Jon), Casey Dawkins, Taylor Smith (Hunter), Landon Harris (Hailey) and Nate Dawkins; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Anleigh, Marley, Mason, Allie'J, Axel and Avonlea. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
In addition to flowers, donations may given in her honor to Richmond County Hospice or Saint Jude's Hospital.
