It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Hinson of Rockingham, North Carolina, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lonnie Hinson and Lessie Hinson; and his brother Larry Hinson. He is survived by : his wife Linda Sinclair Hinson; his children, Penney Chavis and Bryan Hinson; his granddaughter Ariel Chavis; and his pets, Sophie and Lily "Peanut".

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made out to either Richmond County Hospice at 1119 N. US 1, Rockingham, NC 28379 or to Veteran Affairs at 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705.
