We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2025, at the age of 80, Richard E. McLendon of Rockingham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed McLendon and Edna Leviner Caulk; his siblings, Kathy Caulk Norton and Roger Kevin "Dooster" Caulk; and his nephew Jason L. Norton.
He is survived by: his wife Lejunia Chavis McLendon; his sibling's children, Ryan Norton-Smith (Eric), Roger Aaron Caulk, Tommy Weatherford (Karen) and Levi Chavis (Judy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Erial Norton, Eris Smith, Ciara Hitchcock (Robert), Ericson Smith, EJ Smith, Ryan Chavis (Carly), Alex Norton, Kevin Norton and Jase Norton; his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Chavis (Rhonda) and Don Norton; and his pets, Pumpkin and Rudie.
