He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Bolden Slade and William Oscar Slade, Sr.; and his sister Martha Settle. He is survived by: his siblings, David Slade and Navor Slade; his wife Zina Combs Slade; his daughters, Melinda Slade (Mark) and Tiffany Slade (Montez); his grandchildren, Malachi, Montez, Naja, Yasir and Yosef; his siblings, Barbara Slade, Patricia Stokes (Cecil), Ora Slade, William Slade, Jr. (Rose), Henry Slade (Connie), Albert Slade (Velma), Richard Graham and Sandy Slade; his sister-in-law Louise Slade; and his close friend Rev. Joey Jones. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
