He is survived by: his wife Theressa Simmons Smith; his children, Samuel Lee Smith, Jr. and Ashley Michelle Abrams (Cameron); his grandchildren, Annsley Michelle Smith and Decklann Lee Smith; his stepgrandson Braxton Alexander Abrams; his parents, Vester Smith and Beulah Yates Smith; and his grandson Krystopher Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Sweet Haven Church (424 Midway Rd, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Mt Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church (145 Yates St, Rockingham, NC 28379).
