It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Boyte Speight of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lee and Alma Campbell Boyte; her husband Charles Thomas Speight, Sr.; and her brothers, Joseph Boyte, James Boyte and John Boyte (Ruth).
She is survived by: her children, Charles Thomas Speight, Jr. (Amanda) of Randleman and Ashworth Lee "Ashley" Speight (Denise) of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Jared (Kennedi), Nikolas, Charlie and Paisley; and her sisters-in-law, Jan Boyte and Betty Boyte Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Samaritan's Purse in memory of Sylvia Speight.
