He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Chappell Pankey; his wife Barbara Williams Pankey; his children, Kimberly Ard (Kenneth) of Rockingham, Mitchell Pankey (Shannon) of Rockingham and Mark Pankey of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Carla Shelley, Reggie Morrison, Dana Brigman, Justin Pankey, Madison Pankey and Chasen Pankey; his great grandchildren, Kaleb Liles, Nathan Childress, Autumn Morrison and Christopher Bryant; and his brother Crawford Pankey of Tabor City.
