It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Howard Simpson Jr. of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father William H. Simpson, Sr.. He is survived by : his mother Fannie Mims Simpson; his siblings, Julia Simpson Ungewitter (Martin), Marilyn Hampton, Felisa Simpson, Iris Redd, Renee Watkins, Walter E. Simpson (Alvina) and Tallius Simpson (Trudy); his nieces and nephews, James "Boomer" Hampton, IV, Jasmine Simpson Galloway (Tyrece), Katrina Ungewitter, Niko Simpson, Maya Redd, William Ungewitter, India Cook, Noel Cook, Jr., Tallius Simpson and Walter Simpson; his uncle Wallace Galloway; his brothers-in-law, James Hampton, III and Alton Redd; and his close friends, Kenny Kelley, Brian Bradley, William Price, Oliver Slade and Darryl Redd. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
