He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carter and Nell Carter; his wife Bernice Carter; his siblings, John Carter and Kathleen Stirewalt; and his siblings' children, Shirley Esquer and Michael Carter.
He is survived by: his sons, Brandon and Ryan Maltba.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at the West Lawn Memorial Park (1350 S Main St, China Grove, NC 28023).
