He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Joyner and Mary Joyner of Rocky Mount, NC.; his parents-in-law, Horace and Myrtie Bell Rose; and his brothers-in-law, Phil Stephens and Peter Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Joyner; his daughters, Lisa Gail Joyner Rose (David) and Mary Kaye Joyner; his granddaughter Hannah Noel Rose; his sister Juanita Joyner Stephens Wells; and his sibling's children, Daniel Stephens (Rhonda) and Kaila McKenzie (Clint). He is also survived by his cousins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
