He is survived by: his children, Richard Murray of Warrenton and Teresa Murray of Elm City; his sisters, Georgia Murray of Greensboro and Josephine Flora of Bunn; his close friend Phyllis Conney; and his granddaughters, Alyssa Rubin (Kris) of Fernley, NV, Jessica Proctor of Elm City and Victoria Proctor (Joshua Shearin) of Elm City. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
