He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Joyner and Ollie Joyner; his wife Marie Bone Joyner; and his daughter Rhonda Joyner. He is survived by: his sister Genevieve Pridgen; his daughters, Gwendolyn Page (Jimmy) and Denise Hill (Larry); his grandchildren, Lindsay Brantley (Michael), Kelly Hepler (Josh) and Valoree Murray (Josh); his great grandchildren, Elijah, Lillian, Josiah Brantley, Thomas Hepler, Elouise, Leland and Stellan Murray; his close friend Helen Davis; and his caregivers, Diane Chapman and Ricky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
