He is survived by: his wife Effie Lee Joyner Cooley; his children, Pamela C. Budd (Tommy) of Fayetteville and Allen Thomas of Clayton; his grandchildren, Nathan Thomas Cooley and Michelle Lindsey Cooley; and his brother Calvin Cooley.
